Coleman Mapp

–

Atlanta, Georgia

With a heart as wide as his smile and a spirit as vibrant as his love for life, Coleman DeAndre Mapp, fondly known as CMAPP, was a beacon of joy and hope to all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Born on April 18, 1982, in Atlanta, GA, Coleman was not only a loyal and dedicated bus driver in the city's transportation system for a decade, but also a loving husband, father, and friend. His zest for life, coupled with his relentless ambition, made him a truly spirited soul.

Coleman was a man of many passions. His dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a loyal partner to his wife, Shatora Davis Mapp, whom he married on June 17, 2017, and a devoted father to his beautiful children: Ja'Montae Davis, Jaylen Grover, Jaden Grover, Ja'Meisa Mapp, Aaron Mapp, Kennavious Mapp, and Jeasean Ifeacho. He cherished his mother, Renee Mapp, and his brother, Daryl Mapp. Coleman's life was touched by the joy he found in his godchildren Kadashia Roussaw, Zaire Shannon, Breanna Jenkins, Bria Carter, Zaria Pass, and Hendrix Davis. He was also a beloved figure to many nieces and nephews, all of whom he held very dear.

A man of profound faith, Coleman accepted Christ at an early age and lived his life according to the teachings of his Savior. He was known for his consistent and active involvement in his church, dedicating his time and energy to volunteer work. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” Joshua 24:15, was a verse he lived by. Coleman was also a proud football coach, a testament to his love for the game and his desire to inspire others. His spirited personality was further reflected in his love for music, dancing, and his penchant for dressing well. Coleman was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mrs. Mapp, his Uncle Renard Mapp, and his Aunt Vickie Mapp.

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Coleman, but it is also with immense gratitude that we celebrate his life. His memory will live on in the many lives he touched. Please feel free to share your memories and photos of Coleman on his memorial page, as we come together in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived. We encourage you to upload pictures, share stories, and join us in honoring the life and legacy of Coleman Mapp.
