Doris Annette Brown

–

Atlanta, Georgia

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Doris Annette Amos- Brown, affectionately known as Annette, on January 17, 2026. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 4, 1940, to Albert and Charlie Amos, Annette was a dedicated daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was dedicated to her work as a cook in at Christ the King private school for many years before her retirement. Annette was a lover of life, with a passion for cooking, pottery making, music, dancing, and later in life water aerobics.

Doris Annette was educated in the Atlanta Public School System and a graduate of Luther J. Price High School class of 1958. She married Bobby Brown Sr, and to this union was blessed her only child Bobby Brown.

Annette was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church, joining the congregation at a tender age that spanned an incredible seventy-three years. She served with grace and devotion in both the Mothers Ministry and the Missionary Ministry. Her tireless dedication to her faith earned her the nickname, the "Fundraising Queen" and she was more than deserving of the "Trailblazer" award. As Helen Keller once said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Annette embodied this sentiment, her dedicated service and love for her church community was a testament to her unwavering faith.

Annette was the proud mother of me, Bobby (Pamela), the beloved grandmother of Brian Greer (Dr. Audrey), and the cherished great-grandmother of little Brianna Greer. She was also a loving aunt to her nephews Bobby, Albert III, Willie Jr, Elcontcheto Dismuke, Olin Dismuke, and Chandler Clowers. She leaves to cherish a of great nieces, great nephews' cousin and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Ruth Dismuke and Albert Jr., and her nephew Gary Dismuke.

We encourage you to share your fondest memories and photographs of Doris Annette Amos- Brown on her memorial page. Her life was an inspiration to us all and we are grateful for the love and joy she brought to our lives.
