In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Thompson Jackson

Elizabeth Thompson Jackson, affectionately known as Liz or Sissy Pooh, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many. She was born on November 29, 1948, in Montgomery, Alabama, and throughout her life she shared warmth, compassion, and a welcoming heart with everyone she met.

Elizabeth was raised in Montgomery, Alabama, where she attended school and graduated from Carver High School in 1965.

In 1969, she made Atlanta, Georgia her home, where she lovingly raised her family and built a life centered on faith, hard work, and devotion to those she loved. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a hairstylist in the beauty industry, serving her clients with care and creativity until her retirement in 2005.

Elizabeth found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching football, enjoying movies on the Lifetime Movie Network, and spending time playing card games with family and friends. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those she loved, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Eric Thompson; her daughter, Altovise Love; her grandchildren, Anthony Jones, Briahna Head, and Autreyahna Love; her great-grandchildren, Deion Adams Jr., and Aria Jones; her sister, Catherine Williams; her brother, Larry Thompson Sr.; her beloved Montgomery family, including Dorothy Garner, Tamberly Garner, and Derrick Garner; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Jackson; her parents, Percy and Mary Thompson; her brother, Percy Thompson Jr.; her niece, Regina Williams; and her nephew, Larry "Bo" Thompson Jr.

As we celebrate Elizabeth's life, we give thanks for the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the many cherished memories she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family invites you to share your favorite memories and photographs of Elizabeth as we honor her life and celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
