Esther found joy in simple pleasures such as watching movies, spending time with family, and celebrating life in all its forms. Her love for her family was boundless, and she nurtured each relationship with a remarkable blend of love, care, and humor. Esther is survived by her children, Alvina (Melvin) Smith, Ruby Johnson, Marcus (Olivia) Johnson, Charles Johnson, and Joshua Johnson. The joy of her life were her grandchildren; Melvin Jr., Sanai Smith, Jaylen McCastle, Naomi McCastle, and Ariya Johnson. Her siblings, Curtis and Roslyn Johnson, also survive her. She was a beloved mother-in-law to Olivia (Marcus) Johnson and Melvin (Alvina) Sr. Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Winston and William Johnson.
