Atlanta, Georgia
Frank Booker, affectionately known to many as "Baba", was born on January 20, 1956, in Atlanta, GA, USA. He peacefully entered into rest on March 1, 2024. Frank was a lifelong resident of Atlanta, dedicating 5 years of his life to serving his community. He was a compassionate soul who loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age. He carried his faith throughout his life, always acting as a beacon of kindness and understanding to those around him. As it is written in the Bible, "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." (Matthew 5:7)
Frank was a dedicated worker, having retired from the Miller Brewing Company after years of service. His talents were numerous, lending themselves not only to his professional life but also to his personal interests. He was an avid bike rider, a sports car enthusiast, and a lover of baseball. Many will remember the sound of his laughter while shooting pool or the focused look on his face as he watched a football game. Those who knew
Frank took pride in attending Atlanta Public Schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Booker and Maggie McCallister; his son, Lorenzo Sr; and his siblings, Rochelle, Robert, Willie, Larry, Tommy, and Lester.
Our beloved Frank is survived by his loving siblings, Mae Lane, Linda Lane, and Rodney Lane. Even as we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life. We remember a man who was compassionate, talented, and dedicated—a man who made a difference in the lives of those he touched.
