Mr. Michael B. Goolsby, I, was born July 23, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Thomas D. Goolsby, Jr. and Lillie Goolsby. He is the Second Generation, Owner of Goolsby Mortuary & Cremation Services. Mr. Michael passed away on September 2, 2022. Homegoing Celebration Services will begin Thursday, September 8, 2022, with his Public Visitation starting at 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. at the family's firm located at 1375 Jonesboro Road, S.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30315. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 9, 2022, at noon at Mt Zion Second Baptist Church located at 137 Boulevard NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30312. Mr. Michael B. Goolsby, I, will be placed in state at 11:00 a.m. at the church. This service will be recorded and streamed live.
