Atlanta, Georgia
With a twinkle in his eye and a mischievous g1'in that was his trademark, Ronald Anthony Moody, better known as Busta Brown by his family and friends, decided to hang up his dancing shoes and retire from this world on March 24, 2024. Born on June 4, 1959, in Atlanta, GA, he spent his life seasoning the world with his distinctive flair. His birth certificate said Atlanta, GA, but his spirit screamed, "Party Central!" Ronald, a funny, compassionate, thoughtful, and winy soul, was never married, perhaps because he was too busy perfecting his dance moves, cooking his infamous "charbroiled" meats (which were always a bit on the crispy side), and telling half-truths that kept eve1yone on their toes.
Ronald made his mark in the hospitality business as a Chef and retired from Ben Hill United Methodist Church in 2015. He was a proud member of Denson Temple Peoples Free Methodist Church. And despite his penchant for over-g11lling, he was a genius in the kitchen and at the grill. His family always found his overcooked meat endearing, a testament to his unique cooking style. As Mark Twain once said, "Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like," Ronald lived this truth throughout his life. He was as passionate about cooking as he was about dancing, partying, and his road dawg, Teme.
Ronald is survived by his son, Frederick; his siblings, Vaughn (Magnolia), Daisy, Carolyn, Sharon, Rhonda (twin), Tereon, and Ollie (Arny), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, gTeat-nieces, gTeat-nephews, relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ollie Moody, and his sisters, Lorna Bateman, Valerie Moody, Muriel Moody, Arlene Moody-Husband, and Eva Perdue. As Groucho Ma1x quipped, "I intend to live forever or die trying." Ronald may not have achieved the former, but he certainly lived as if he would, imbuing every moment with laughter and love.
As we remember Ronald, let's celebrate his life with the same humor and warmth he shared with all of us.
