William Little, Jr.

William Henry Little, Jr. was born July 10, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia to Argie Marie Little and William Henry Little, Sr. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

William graduated from David T. Howard High School in 1968 and attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Second Baptist Church. He served in various capacities until his death.

William retired for DeKalb County’s Animal Control Division as supervisor in 2010.

He was a man of integrity, a faithful Christian, devoted father, loving grandfather and husband. He touched the lives of many people.

William married Cassandra Guilford Little on October 23, 1973. They were married for 52 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marie and William Little, Sr., his aunts Eula Mae Bostic, Martha Iverson, his uncles Cyrus Wilkins, Tylus Grant, James Grant, and grandmother Nina Wilkins-Grant-Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife Cassandra Guilford Little, children: Kismet (Louis) Rhodes, Papillon (Rose) Little, grandchildren: Lillian, Aaron, and Matthew Rhodes, first cousins: Arvis Brown, Marvin Grant, Shirley Washington, and Lorraine Allen.
